FAQ

Thank you for leasing an apartment with EGR Properties. A few of the most common questions asked by tenants are answered below. If you need further assistance, please call our office between 9-5 Monday through Friday.
  • When can I move in?

It is important to coordinate the date and time of your move-in with our office, so the apartment is in proper condition upon your arrival. Once you do move-in, we recommend that you fill out the move-in checklist and return to our office within 7 days. This checklist can be found on this website in the Forms section.

  • When can I pick up my keys?

Arrangements to pick up your keys can be made through our office. Leasing agents can meet at the building to distribute the keys or keys can be left in a lockbox outside the building. Your first month’s rent must be paid in full prior to your move-in.

  • What utility companies do I have to notify?

At least one week prior to your move, you should contact the companies to ensure service is set up upon your arrival.

  • Who do I call regarding repairs or other problems?

We strive to ensure that every apartment is in the best condition for when you move-in. If the apartment requires repair or cleaning, we will urgently work to accommodate those needs. Please contact the office with all maintenance requests. A form can be submitted directly from this website or you can email generalinfo@egrproperties.com. We will make every effort to reply within 24 hours to all maintenance requests.

  • Where do I send my rent payment?

Rent must be mailed to EGR Properties, LLC at 1658 North Milwaukee Avenue, Suite B 134 Chicago, IL 60647. Rent checks should be made payable to the buildings account and NOT to EGR Properties.

    For example:

    Halsted North, LLC

    959 W. Webster, LLC

    1514 N. Honore, LLC

    2056 W. Division, LLC

    Dickens Management, LLC

  • When is rent due?

Rent is due on the first of the month, and is considered late after the 5th of the month. A late fee will be assessed if the rent arrives after the 5th of the month.

  • When do I have to be moved out?

We require all tenants to have the apartment empty and cleaned by the last day of their lease. This allows management to inspect the apartment and ensure it is in proper condition for the new tenant.
